The Dougherty Valley / San Ramon Rotary Club Foundation is the charitable giving and fundraising arm of the Dougherty Valley / San Ramon Rotary Club, dedicated to strengthening our community through service, compassion, and partnership. Every dollar raised helps fund impactful local and global projects, scholarships, youth programs, and nonprofit initiatives—making a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve.
Our signature community event and largest annual fundraiser is Truck Time, returning in May 2027. We welcome businesses, organizations, and individuals who share our commitment to strengthening our community to join us as sponsors, partners, or donors and help make an even greater impact together.
Make a Difference with the DVSR Rotary Foundation
Since becoming a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2011, the Dougherty Valley / San Ramon Rotary Club Foundation has proudly provided more than $180,000 in grants and charitable donations that strengthen lives both locally and around the world. Every contribution fuels meaningful projects, supports deserving nonprofit organizations, and creates lasting change—making our community stronger, healthier, and more connected.
The Foundation is proud to support a diverse range of organizations and initiatives, including:
- Culinary Angels
- San Ramon Valley Village
- The SRV Historic Foundation
- San Ramon Valley Education Foundation
- National Coalition Against Prescription Drug Abuse (NCAPDA)
- Team Esteem+
- Child Advocates of Contra Costa County
- Boy Scout Troop 2001
- Simply the Basics
- Kids Against Hunger
- The Ronald McDonald House
- Sole Hope
- The Wheelchair Foundation
- Blue Star Moms
- Sentinels of Freedom
- PACE Universal
- Interact Club of Dougherty Valley High School
We also invest in the future by supporting youth development projects, including leadership programs and community service initiatives. For example, the Dougherty Valley / San Ramon Rotary Club sponsors a vibrant and energetic Interact Club at Dougherty Valley High School, where we collaborate with, and mentor, high school youth as they develop leadership skills and engage in meaningful community service projects.
Globally, we partner on high-impact international efforts—such as delivering more than 5,000 wheelchairs to those in need through our collaboration with The Wheelchair Foundation, and helping to build homes and minister to local families and orphanages with Hearts Empowering the Poor in San Luis Rio Colorado.
But our impact goes far beyond financial contributions. Our club members are passionate volunteers who roll up their sleeves to make a real difference. Whether we’re:
Packing meals with Kids Against Hunger
Collecting and packing personal hygiene kits with Simply the Basics
Sorting and packing food with the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano
Gleaning with the Contra County Fruit Rescue
Delivering Thanksgiving baskets
Sorting and distributing lost-and-found clothing through Pick Up with A Purpose
Litter removal and beautification on the Iron Horse Trail
…we are hands-on in our mission to uplift and serve others.
These experiences multiply the impact of our fundraising and enrich the lives of those we serve—and our volunteers. Contact us today and become part of something truly meaningful.
